New Ways to Help!

We really need your help! In this age of budget cuts and cutbacks, it is harder and harder to find the resources to continue and expand our work. But, there are lots of ways that you can make a profound difference - all priced to fit your budget!

True Colors, Inc. can now accept credit cards by phone and fax:  Want to support our work, but prefer to put it on a credit card for ease of payment and tracking?  Simply call us at 888-565-5551 or fax us your name, phone number your credit card number, type, expiration date and amount of donation to 860-649-7386.  We will call you to confirm the information prior to processing the donation.  All donations are tax-deductible.

Scholarship Support: $38 - 500
At $38 for a registration scholarship for a youth for both days of our annual conference, you can make a profound difference by sponsoring one or more youth to attend.  For $150, you could sponsor a summer activity for the youth in our mentoring program (Like a day at Lake Compounce or an afternoon at the bowling alley or a trip to the Women’s Basketball League.!)  For $200 - $300, you could sponsor an out-of-state youth’s travel and hotel for our annual LGBT youth conference.  For $500, you could support an entire youth scholarship for our annual True Colors/PFLAG Helen and Bob Brill Award.

Give at work through your United Way campaign:  We are delighted to announce that True Colors has been accepted to participate in the 2003 United Way Campaign.  If you are a state or federal employee in Connecticut, you can donate to True Colors by participating in your campaign at work.   Watch for information at work coming up beginning in August or ask your employer for details.

Employer Gift Matching:  Many employers offer gift- or donation-matching programs.  Many companies will match your donation dollar-for-dollar.  If your employer has a matching program, consider having your gift to True Colors matched!

Donate your time:  True Colors, Inc. wouldn't survive without the help of its volunteers.  If you are interested in volunteering for True Colors, Inc. or any of its programs, please let us know!

Office Wishes:  $500 - 1,500
With a sponsorship or donation in this range, you could help True Colors get a banner for our community activities; or a new laser printer, or networking and computer upgrades — any or all of which helps us do more better!  (Many thanks to Denyse Burke for being the first to fulfill one of these wishes with a donation for our new color printer!)

Conference Wishes:  $3,000 - 5,000
Perfect for a Corporate Sponsorship, conference wishes include lanyards, name tags and
conference carry alls for the TC conference.  Imagine 2,000 participants from all over the Northeast and beyond, carrying items with your corporate logo throughout the conference and then home as a keepsake!  That is a win-win for all of us!
