Kinnections Family Programs Legislation

The Connecticut State Senate passed the "Second Parent Adoption" Bill last on May 3, 2000 by a 31-5 vote.  This bill will enable individuals to seek to legally adopt the biological or adopted children of their unmarried (same-sex or opposite-sex) partners!  This legislation, which goes into effect October 1, 2000, is a huge victory of our families.  Or deepest gratitude to all the members of the Love Makes A Family Coalition who worked so hard to get the bill passed.  If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to thank your legislator if s/he voted in our favor.
